Life goes so quickly, make sure to slow it down sometimes
Slowing down does not necessarily mean doing less:
What this really means is that you will become more intentional about how you spend your time and attention.
Create pauses between activities, instead of going from one activity to another in rapid speed leave a few minutes in between to reset, stretch, or simply sit quietly.
Focus on ONE thing at a time:
Giving your full attention to a conversation, a meal, a project can make every day ordinary activities that much more fulfilling.
Make sure to protect your unstructured time, not every hour needs to be scheduled. Leaving space for hobbies, rest, or doing something spontaneous in the moment can reduce the feeling of being “on” all the time.
Take note of the small moments: watching a sunset, taking a walk, watching a sunrise, reading a few pages of a book or enjoying tea or coffee without distractions can help anchor you in the present.
Accept that not everything needs to happen today, prioritizing what’s truly important can make it easier to let go of what isn’t a today priority because waiting for tomorrow is absolutely okay.
Allow yourself to pick joy over tasks sometimes, go see your friends or family. Create an art project.. do the things that make you feel pleasure. It will only make responsibilities easier when you return to them.
Cut Back On Your Technology:
I cannot express this enough, phones will continue to pull you out of the here and now so make sure you have healthy limits around your screen time. If you are constantly consuming news or social media you will miss out on the joy happening around you. Set scheduled time for emails or social media but be careful of how often you pick up on your phone
Recognize that for everything you say yes to you are saying no to something else
